Greetings, Heritage Elementary families!
My name is Lindsay Korom and I’ll be serving as PTA President for the 2024-2025 school year. My husband, Nick, and I have 3 daughters. We moved to Texas in 2021 and immediately fell in love with our community and this wonderful school. Our youngest, Noelle, is 8 years old and is entering 3rd grade at HES. Our middle child, Lily, is 11 years old and will be venturing into all new territory as a 6th grader at HMS. Our oldest daughter, Juliette, is 23 years old and lives in Lancaster County, PA. She loves to visit and attend her sisters’ school events as often as she can.
Thanks to the collective efforts and support from our families and community, HES PTA is able to fund school enhancements like our recently constructed Outdoor Learning Center, shower our teachers and staff with the appreciation they so deserve, provide scholarships to graduating GCISD Seniors, fulfill teacher mini-grant requests, and offer events and programs throughout the school year including Boo Bash, Reflections Art Contest, Breakfast with Santa, Holiday House, Outdoor Movie Night, Spring Fling, and so much more.
Having been a part of various school districts, PTAs, and PTOs since 2006 when our oldest entered Kindergarten, I can say with great certainty that what we share here at HES is something special. We have an engaged and diverse PTA executive board, a Dad’s club that shows up at drop-off for Hi-5s all year long, school faculty and staff that care for our children like their own, local businesses that provide generous sponsorships, and families that continuously show up for programs, field trips, class parties and Fitness Fridays. How amazing is that?! This is the recipe for creating a culture of growth, and the belief that together we can achieve great things. With that in mind, I am excited to share the HES PTA theme for this year will be GROWING GREATNESS! Great Students. Great Teachers. Great Community. That’s who we are!
