Pumpkin Fun

Get into the Fall Spirit by decorating a Book Character Pumpkin! Show your creative side by designing and painting a small or medium sized pumpkin as your favorite book character to display in the Learning Commons. Pumpkins can be designed by your child or as a family activity. (No carved pumpkins as they can rot and attract bugs.)

Bring your creation to the Learning Commons beginning Monday, October 24. Please include the book character’s name, book title, author, and student’s name and grade on a piece of paper. Students will be in for a special treat when they come view all of the book character pumpkins on October 31!!

Apple Tree

Have you heard of Apple Tree?

It’s one of the PTA programs at HES helping connect teacher needs and parent’s generosity. Our Apple Tree has gone online and is easy to scroll through and see what our staff and faculty are in need of. Parents can pick an “apple,” purchase the needed item (headphones, Clorox wipes, etc.), and send it back in, making sure to label it with the student’s name and teacher. There are also opportunities to help teachers or our staff with their volunteer needs.
Please consider checking out the Apple Tree!! HERE You will find links to each school grade where each HES teacher and staff have listed their needed items. Please put this link in your home screen and check it periodically or watch for emails from Emily Price to know there is a new need. Our teachers are so appreciative of this program. We are wild about the Apple Tree Program!!
